Why we offer support
The transition from military to civilian life can be daunting and barriers to employment is one of the biggest challenges former Armed Forces personnel face. We believe that supporting veterans, service leavers, reservists and their families in finding stable and rewarding employment is the right thing to do, and helps to build stronger communities, improves social mobility and, through the new ideas and ways of working that ex-military personnel bring, provides important development across industries. We have signed the Armed Forces Covenant and, in recognition of our commitment, have been awarded Gold status by the Armed Forces Covenant Employer Recognition Scheme.
Our partnerships
We work closely with multiple partners to make sure that our hiring process is accessible for former Armed Forces personnel, and that we are using our position to advocate for veterans, service leavers, reservists and their families.
BuildForce - Organising site visits, work placements, and providing CV writing and interview support.
Career Transition Partnership (CTP) - Helping us better understand transferrable skills.
Forces Families Jobs - Helping us identify skilled military spouses and family members.
Forces Transition Group - Ensuring our opportunities are visible to ex-military personnel.
Recognising transferrable skills
We value the knowledge and skills that veterans and service leavers have acquired in the Armed Forces, and how they can enhance our services to our clients. We understand that, for many veterans and service leavers, writing a CV and applying for a civilian role may be new to them. If you need support with your application, please email peopleservices@amey.co.uk who will put you in touch with the right member of our team.
